About The Opportunity:
Reporting to the GM of Retail, the overarching purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of the retail strategy and financial targets throughout the state through consistent leadership across the Area Management team.
The State manager will; Ensure an exceptional level of service provided in state to enhance the experience for our customer and to maximise financial performance Achieve of all state financial goals by driving sales and KPI results in conjunction with strong cost control Initiate, implement and achieve strategic planning and setting of state KPI targets, aligned with company benchmarks Effective workforce planning, developing and maintaining a succession plan model to identify high performers, gain stability, minimise turnover and meet state objectives Ensure team members develop professionally and are provided opportunities to grow in their roles Evaluate performance, provide timely support and feedback, identify skill gaps and implement appropriate strategies including coaching and training plans Deliver timely and accurate updates to all team members ensuring all are informed of business direction, standards Provide feedback on opportunities to improve systems, policy and procedure, efficiencies, product ranging and store performance Ensure auditing results are compliant and aligned to the business direction and policy and procedure

What We Ask You To Bring To The Table: Demonstrated success as State or Area Manager within retail Strong people leadership and management skills/techniques Excellent workforce and succession planning skills Commercial mindset and previous experience managing P&L’s An awesome attitude and ability to instill values and culture within a team
