The Coombabah Sewage Treatment Plant is the largest on the Gold Coast, servicing approximately 330,000 people. The project will employ up to 150-200 people during peak with a focus to deliver 75% of the total project value by engaging local employment, suppliers and subcontractors.
We are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Manager to manage the testing, commissioning and handover phase of the project.
About the Role.
As the Commissioning Manager you will be responsible for the all commissioning work across the project scope, which includes preliminary and secondary treatment, disinfections, sludge thickening odour control, pipeworks, control valves and power and control systems.
This role encompasses all elements of commissioning from the planning of testing, pre- commissioning and commissioning of the plant. You will be required to develop and implement the Commissioning and Performance Proving Plan, systems, tools, tracking and produce activity focused reporting to track performance.
You will lead the team to ensure the testing, commissioning and handover process is successfully completed to achieve project completion. Effective coordination between all parties/stakeholders is essential to facilitate the end to end linkage of activities, including the client and their teams, the design, procurement and construction teams.
To be deemed a successful applicant for this role you will have prior experience of leading a commissioning team on a secondary wastewater treatment plant, inclusive of all required mechanical, electrical, controls and process expectations. You will have the ability to establish the commissioning plan, systems and reporting requirements necessary to execute the works, and ensure that adequate transparency is provided to the activities undertaken.
Other responsibilities and relevant experience will include coordination with project planners, client and stakeholder management, OHSA and plant operational requirements in both commissioning and operational phases with respect to the mechanical, piping, electrical and controls aspects.
