  • You will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidenced based, recovery oriented services across the multi-disciplinary Local Health Network (LHN) Mental Health (MH) service appropriate to the needs of the Flinders and Upper North community. Working within National Mental Health Standards, and supporting the implementation of the Mental Health Reform, you will work under limited supervision to co-manage complex cases with other mental health workers (if appointed at the AHP1 level you will work under the direct supervision of a senior clinician). You may provide direction to less experienced professional officers, para professionals and students working within a recovery framework in mental health. As a member of the multidisciplinary team including health professionals and service providers from other sectors, you will utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention and treatment/therapy based approaches to ensure good clinical outcomes are achieved by the consumer group.     For appointment at the AHP1 or AHP2 level you must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). For appointment at the RN1 or RN2 level, you will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate, along with a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice. Creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues in a mental health care setting, you will bring the ability to write accurate consumer care plans and maintain other relevant documentation.

    Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP1 or AHP2 or RN/RM1 or RN/RM2 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
