AIRSWIFT has been tasked by one if of our major clients to seek for an Senior Sourcing Specialist (Construction & Operations) to work within their facilities located in Brisbane on a contract assignment.
This role will be responsible to assist in the establishment of new and replacement corporate procurement arrangements (including panels of contracted suppliers, prequalification lists, preferred suppliers and strategic partners). This role will lead and implement strategic sourcing within the category management process as required by the category specialists.
Responsibilities:
Extensive experience in all stages of the sourcing cycle for highly complex requirements.
Extensive experience in the successful negotiation, formation and management of highly complex contracts and supplier agreements that meet organizational requirements.
High level research, analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure that sourcing outcomes meet Council requirements.
Demonstrated high level project management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage tasks to agreed delivery standards.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement across strategic sourcing processes and procedures.
Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate project team outcomes and successfully communicate at all levels.
Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence
Requirements:
Highly desirable: Experience in the civil or civic (building) construction industry.
Desirable: Strong knowledge of one (or more) of the following industries in Australia:
Road / bridge construction / maintenance
Bitumen / asphalt supply / manufacture / construction
Quarry operations, including bulk material transport
Cement / concrete manufacture / supply / construction
Ferry terminals / fishing platforms / board walks / riverwalls
Construction / major renovation of public buildings
Refurbishment / fit-out of commercial / public buildings
Stormwater drainage construction / repair / maintenance
Major landscape construction / rehabilitation
Public sector experience, or experience working for an engineering consultant, may be advantageous.
A Criminal History Check (CHC) will be completed on the successful candidate.
