Drake Medox are seeking reliable and enthusiastic support workers to support our young-adult male client who lives at home in Sunbury with a very complex spinal cord injury.
We are seeking Disability Support Workers who are passionate about this industry and have plenty of energy to engage with and be a companion to our client.
The right candidates will need to meet the following criteria;
+6 months manual handling experience (using hoist machines)
Experience with providing personal care to clients with high needs – this includes full assistance with showering, continence care and personal hygiene
Must have a bubbly and engaging personality
Be able to work in a team environment as you will be working alongside a Registered Nurse
Our client requires additional support workers to join his team on a casual basis. This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in our client’s life, as well as enhance your skills and knowledge by working alongside the Registered Nurse.
You must currently have;
Valid Australian Driver’s License
Proof of your right to work in Australia
Current First Aid (within three years)
Current Police Check (within three years)
Current Working with Children Check
Duties;
Work with the Registered Nurse and assist with personal care and manual handling
Assist the client within his community
Supporting the client in achieving their set goals for the day
Providing true and authentic companionship to the client
