Our client is a community based social enterprise that exists to enhance the lifestyle and independence of people with disability. As a well-established and trusted brand, the organisation operates across two main Divisions -  Employment & Training  and  Commercial Operations  which also includes Disability Care.

As the organisation experiences considerable growth we are now seeking to fill  multiple  roles on a temporary basis  (37.5 hours/ week) at their Petrie site. The  Intake and Assessment Officer  is an integral part of the front-line intake team and provides the first response to all incoming referrals over the phone including the provision of assessment and information. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Engage with customers in a non-judgemental way, via telephone to conduct an assessment and initial appointment interviews;
  • Conduct appropriate assessments on customers, identifying appropriate support and referral opportunities;
  • Complete reporting of recommendations and referral opportunities;
  • Negotiate and create job plans for initial connection to services;
  • Monitor and record customer attendance and participation, when required; and
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner; this includes accurate recording of information.
  • While previous experience in front-line service delivery for  Job Active  and  Disability Employment Services  is desirable it is  not essential.  Your ability toengage with people of all ages and backgrounds and an empathy with disadvantaged and long-term unemployed people will ensure your success! Office hours are 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

    Other Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a customer service or call centre role;
  • Experience working with and achieving KPI’s;
  •  A friendly, positive and professional attitude;
  •  Demonstrated ability to provide an extremely high level of customer service and strong administrative skills;
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain);
  • Current Blue Card and Yellow Card (or willingness to obtain).
