Area Manager - Childcare services - Newly created role

We are excited to be working for this privately owned, family run childcare service located in the inner suburbs of Melbourne - their business has grown and this has now put them in a position to bring on an experience Area Manager to work alongside the Operations Manager / Owner of the business to lead them into the next successful phase.

Your role:

  • Manage day to day operations and running of 2 childcare centres
  • Work with Centre Managers to deliver on all permanent and casual staffing requirements
  • Business analysis and budgeting
  • Regular audits to ensure compliance is up to date
  • Grow community and family engagement
  • Ensure that every child is given the top level care and service

  • Essential Criteria

  • Experience as an Area Manager managing multiple sites
  • Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood or Diploma in Children's Services
  • Valid Working with Children's Check, First aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications
  • Experience providing business critical planning and development
  • Exposure to community based engagement programs or initiatives
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary child care and early learning practices and issues
  • Effective time management, people management and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine passion for children and the importance of providing the best care possible
