About the Position
Seeking suitably experienced professionals or graduates looking to join our coal technology services team based at our Richlands site. If you have a drive to produce quality results and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you.
Positions on both day and afternoon shift are available.
Position Synopsis

Full-time, Monday to Friday

$60,000 + superannuation

Day shift: 6 am – 2 pm

Afternoon shift: 2 pm – 10 pm (+ 15% afternoon shift loading)

Reporting to the Petrography Supervisor, the position requirements include but are not limited to:

Preparation of coal samples for petrographic analyses in accordance with Australian Standards

Execution of routine coal petrographic analysis and microscopy in general

Ensuring shifting deadlines are met and customer satisfaction is maintained

Maintain knowledge of all relevant procedures and methods

Have a working knowledge of the Local Safety Rules and site Safety Rules and ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with those rules

Requirements

Degree in Science or equivalent

Microscope experience would be considered an advantage

Having prior experience in coal or coal petrology is desirable

High attention to detail

Ability to work in a team environment

Competent in Microsoft Suite

Full time availability required
