About the Role

As an Electrician at Ahrens in Olympic Dam, SA, you will play a vital role in delivering professional and effective mining site trade services. You will work as part of a site crew to carry out electrical and other related duties safely, to quality and time specification and standards, and assist in other areas as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, BCA, Local Ordinances and other relevant codes and standards;
• Read and interpret electrical plans and drawings effectively;
• Examine work for defects and ensure conformance with specifications;
• Execute work professionally and within given timeframes;
• Ensure works meet all HSQE requirements;
• Optimize the use of materials, labour, plant, and equipment;
• Maintain a full tool kit to facilitate effective duty execution;
• Accurately log information and fulfill administrative tasks associated with your role in a timely manner;
• Operate vehicles, plant, and equipment properly;
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed.

Skills and Experience:

• South Australian Electrical Licence is mandatory;
• Trade-qualified electrician with relevant experience;
• Construction Induction (Whitecard) certification;
• Attention to detail is crucial;
• Able to work independently under minimal supervision;
• Holding a Class C drivers licence is essential;
• Willingsness to work at other Ahrens Group locations if required;
• Certificates of Competency (e.g., Working at Heights, Confined Space etc.) are desirable;
• Additonal Operators Licences (e.g., Truck, Crane, Forklift etc.) are also desirable.
