    Flood / Storm water Infrastructure Engineer (3 year fixed term contract)


    Temporary full-time (3 year contract), 35 hours per week

    Salary from $1, $1,986.00 per week + 3.5% Civil Liability + 11% Super

    About the role:

    We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-centric Flood/Stormwater Infrastructure Engineer on a fixed term contract. This 3-year opportunity will assist in delivering projects within our City Delivery team by:

    1. Coordinating the delivery of flood studies, floodplain risk management studies and plans and any other stormwater works.
    2. Technical design of floodplain risk management works using tools such as TuFlow, WaterRide, Drains, Music, XP-Rafts and HECRAS.
    3. Managing consultants and ensuring projects meet deadlines and adhere to budgets.
    4. Providing stormwater and flood advice.

    The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

    • Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering with extensive relevant experience.
    • Extensive knowledge of GIS systems with a good understanding of TUFLOW modelling.
    • Proven experience in the development of Floodplain Risk Management Studies and Plans and an understanding of the requirements of the Floodplain Development Manual.
    • Ability to demonstrate advanced technical, design and analytical skills to provide creative practical solutions to a variety of situations primarily associated with stormwater drainage and flood mitigation and how these must interface with the public domain and open space.
    • Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff and Australian Runoff Quality.
    • Ability to demonstrate project management skills and the ability to set and meet deadlines.
