Description

The Head of Data & Analytics is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation and maintenance of critical business intelligence initiatives and projects that will contribute to strategic decision-making across the business.

In this role you must develop a deep understanding of the needs of all stakeholders across the business and create actionable insights to improve their effectiveness.

You will also regularly analyse market intel and trends to identify commercial opportunities and accelerate performance.
Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities

Providing technical and strategic leadership in designing, delivering, and supporting business intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, data services and implementing improvements to optimise the use of data across the business.

Collaborate cross-functionally to develop the BI framework for the business, work closely with all departments to design, develop and ongoing maintenance of data models.

Provide expert advice on data management standards, data architecture, and integrated reporting and analytics tools, raising awareness and delivering training to leaders across the business.

Promoting a data driven culture by leading initiatives and showcasing opportunities to leverage data, insights and technologies which aid decision making.

Works with the development team to design and implement the strategy needed to methodically and iteratively structure, test, validate, and communicate data-driven insights from data available
Act as a single point of reference for BI tool implementation and enterprise data analytics
Support data governance initiatives and assist with process implementation

Deliver and analyse key business performance and operating data to uncover key trends and generate business intelligence insights to drive business growth and optimisation.

Strategize and develop the core BI reporting environment and provide holistic visibility of performance through the provisioning of self-service dashboards and reports.

Qualifications / Certificates:
Tertiary Qualification in Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in statistics, data science, accounting, finance, or other related discipline.
Experience in similar BI Manager role, ideally in in a high performing sales and marketing driven business.
Extensive experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise business intelligence and reporting solutions.
Advanced knowledge of BI tools and applications.
Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with and influence various stakeholders
Experienced in building commercial models to support strategic decision making.
Demonstrated experience in BI and data visualisation.
Experience in gathering BI requirements and structuring specifications to produce business-relevant datasets.

Skills and Experience:

Passion to innovate and improve the BI process beyond basic reporting, seeking ways to add value so that the business can consume data more effectively.

A self-starter mindset who takes ownership and excels in a lean and fast-paced organisation
Strong experience in using Microsoft Office Suite; Excel (Advanced).
Experience on a cloud-based big data platform such as Snowflake
Experience within the Financial Services, Banking, or Trading industry.
SQL and programming in languages such as Python, R, Java, HTLM etc.

Salary range for this role will be a base salary of AUD150,000 to AUD180,000 dependent on
experience.

All appointments are subject to gaining appropriate pre-employment clearances and an ability to retain these clearances throughout the period of employment or engagement.

Preparedness to work some out of hours when required.
Freedom of mobility to travel when required.
