Electrical Project Engineer - Broadmeadows, Australia - Davidson

This electrical services company are looking for a Project Engineer with an electrical background to come in on a 12 month contract, based in Broadmeadows.

This Project Engineers role will require regular travel to site to conduct testing and studies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Organizing and controlling project elements including the ongoing reporting of project progress
• Liaising with external, suppliers and internal company stakeholders
• Finding efficient and effective solutions for problems as they arise on a project
• Organisational Skills – ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and ability to add value
• Attention to Detail – focusing on many tasks at once but still maintaining a close attention to the details of each
• Commercial Awareness – possessing the commercial awareness to monitor the delivery of project outcomes while maintaining safety and regulatory requirements
• Communication Skills – regular communication with cross functional teams and stakeholders at all levels with the ability to understand and adjust to the priorities of each
• Documentation Skills – proficient in creating, revising, analysing, and updating documentation, plans, databases, SOP's, etc. and implement changes if required

In order to apply for this role we are looking for somebody with the following experience/skills:

• BE in Electrical Engineering
• Understanding (more than awareness but not necessarily well-versed) of Australian Standards including Safety requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Team, etc.) and desktop computing
• IT Skills
• Technical understanding
• SAP (Projects, Procurement, Inventory, Planning, Reporting, Maintenance)
• Understanding PMBOK principles
• Project schedule, resource, budget, report/forecast, materials, equipment
• Team working - although many of the tasks require strong independent working skills, the incumbent must be a team player
• Continuous Improvement attitude and experience
