    About the role:

    The Beauty/Makeup Teacher position requires an experienced makeup/beauty therapist to be able to provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to students whilst also supporting student success to improve their employability and educational pathways.

    This position is one of several positions within the Beauty unit of the Faculty of Business, IT and Applied Arts. The position reports to the Coordinator - Beauty and is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of the BHI at all levels.

    Note; this role is a casual opportunity and salary is in line with MEA.

    About You:

    • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education
    • Demonstrated experience within the beauty/makeup industry
    • Ability to prepare programs and learning materials; demonstrating your knowledge and skills within the industry to students
    • High level interpersonal skills; ability to support and provide advice to students and employees of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities
    • Strong communication skills and passion to teach students, build positive working relationships and rapport
