    About the Role:

    SoftLabs is seeking Data Engineer -Multiple for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in Canberra

    Requirements:

    The role will be responsible for, but notlimited to:

    • Collaborate with team members andstakeholders to design data integration solutions that meet businessrequirements, utilising Microsoft Azure tools such as Azure Data Factory andSQL.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain ETLpipelines to ensure efficient and secure data transfer between various systems,adhering to best practices for data processing and transformation.
    • Design and maintain data models, ensuringdata accuracy, consistency, and availability while considering scalability andperformance optimisations.
    • Implement data validation and qualitychecks to identify and rectify data anomalies, errors, and inconsistencieswithin integrated systems.
    • Continuously monitor and optimise dataintegration processes to enhance performance, reduce latency, and minimiseresource consumption.
    • Create and maintain comprehensivedocumentation for data integration solutions, including technicalspecifications, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams,including developers, and system analysts, to understand data requirements andensure integrations align with business objectives.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve data integrationissues, working collaboratively with the team to implement effective solutionsand prevent recurrence.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies andindustry trends related to data engineering and integration, applying thisknowledge to improve integration processes and tools.
    • Proven experience in data engineering,including data integration, ETL processes, and data modelling.
    • Strong SQL skills and experience with datawarehousing concepts.
    • Knowledge of data governance, security, andcompliance best practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and theability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
    • Effective communication skills forcollaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintaineffective working relationships.
    • Ability to work independently and be aself-motivated individual.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure tools andservices, such as Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., MicrosoftAzure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics) are advantageous.
