- Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet, including preparation of reconciliations, journals for month-end adjustments to ensure the GL is accurately maintained
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly Business Activity Statements
- Preparation of year-end accounts and working papers for audit
- Act as liaison between auditors to ensure a smooth annual audit process
- Detailed oversight and analytical review of fortnightly payroll payments and EBA's
- Assistance in preparation of forecasts and annual budget
- Analyze, interrogate and interpret data to clearly articulate variances, trends, risks and opportunities through outstanding communication skills
- Preparation of all tax requirements including FBT, GST (including lodgement of BAS) and PAYG, for review by the Finance Manager
- Liaison with key budget stakeholders as required
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable
- Ad-hoc administration tasks as required
- Degree in Accounting & Finance
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role
- Partly qualified or fully qualified CA/CPA qualification
- Experience in any large Accounting ERP system - XERO and Synergetic would be highly desirable but not essential
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Past experience in education industry highly desirable
- Permanent full time
- $90,000 - $100,000 + Super (Based on experience) - can go more for the right candidate
- First 6 months to be based in the office, after that 2 days work from home
