    Your New Company/Role:

    As one of the established and renowned education sector, my client is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team due to remarkable growth. This is a permanent full time position.

    About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

    Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Manager, your main responsibilities will be solid accounting duties but not limited to:

    • Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet, including preparation of reconciliations, journals for month-end adjustments to ensure the GL is accurately maintained
    • Preparation of monthly/quarterly Business Activity Statements
    • Preparation of year-end accounts and working papers for audit
    • Act as liaison between auditors to ensure a smooth annual audit process
    • Detailed oversight and analytical review of fortnightly payroll payments and EBA's
    • Assistance in preparation of forecasts and annual budget
    • Analyze, interrogate and interpret data to clearly articulate variances, trends, risks and opportunities through outstanding communication skills
    • Preparation of all tax requirements including FBT, GST (including lodgement of BAS) and PAYG, for review by the Finance Manager
    • Liaison with key budget stakeholders as required
    • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable
    • Ad-hoc administration tasks as required
    Ideal Profile

    To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
    • Degree in Accounting & Finance
    • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role
    • Partly qualified or fully qualified CA/CPA qualification
    • Experience in any large Accounting ERP system - XERO and Synergetic would be highly desirable but not essential
    • Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Past experience in education industry highly desirable
    Benefits
    • Permanent full time
    • $90,000 - $100,000 + Super (Based on experience) - can go more for the right candidate
    • First 6 months to be based in the office, after that 2 days work from home
