    As Principal Management Accountant you will deliver centrally led management accounting, financial analysis and insights, reform strategies, and performance management advice to a portfolio of QCS business functions. Your contribution will directly support the effective, efficient and economical delivery of QCS's service outcomes. You will deliver to the demonstrated business needs of your portfolio and customer base whilst aligning with QCS's strategic priorities and operational objectives.

    In this role you will be responsible for leading the development, delivery and enhancement of:


    • The portfolio's budget strategy ensuring a structured and well managed budget cycle is in place aligning with the broader QCS Budget Strategy

    • Application of data analytics and interpretation of insights to drive business performance and support evidenced base decision making

    • The full suite of management, financial and strategic reporting to a diverse range internal and external stakeholders supporting effective decisions making processes and the discharge of accountability

    • Financial evaluation and analysis support including business case and project analysis, value for money analysis, financial efficiency and effectiveness monitoring, assessment and reporting

    • The contribution to the development of centrally led service catalogues, policy and procedure, performance management and internal control frameworks and staff training programs in relation to management accounting services to ensure consistent, high quality, customer focussed services are delivered across QCS.

    • The development of systems and processes to monitor, report and enhance service performance of your functional responsibilities to your customers

    • Financial planning and risk management practices which directly contribute to your functional deliverables and broader success of QCS

    • Creative and innovative approaches to financial management where QCS and your portfolio can maximise benefits to be derived from good financial management

    • A customer centric/business partnering approach to developing effective working relationships across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

    • Modern systems and processes to "optimise" value for money derived from the investment made in financial management

    • A team of direct, shared, external and business unit resources in the delivery of centrally-led and consistent reporting and analytical services

    • The achievement of continuous improvement by facilitating an environment where high quality work is valued and is supported by the development and adherence to quality systems
