    Description

    You will be responsible for

    :
    • Ensuring the Mining mobile equipment maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner, in compliance with the Mines Safety Inspection Act and Regulations
    • Managing the maintenance of the site mining fleet, light vehicle fleet and the activities within the mining workshop
    • Minimising costs through efficient management of all available resources and ensure costs associated with the mobile equipment maintenance section do not exceed budget
    • Developing budgets and KPI targets for maintenance activities and promote use and development of KPI's to improve performance of equipment
    • Providing direct supervision of employees and sub-contractors working within the area of responsibility and allocate day-to-day work priorities
    • Developing and maintaining a cohesive team to ensure maintenance personnel are involved in the Mining Department objectives
    • Promoting continuous improvement by challenging work practices and encouraging employee participation in new concepts
    About You
    This role would suit a leader who has significant heavy earthmoving technical competence, strong people management and budget management skills.
    You will have:
    • An Australian recognised Mechanical Trade qualification/s
    • Demonstrated workshop supervisory experience in the mechanical field
    • Proven ability to be objective and fair when managing people
    • Able to develop, communicate and adhere to implementation and execution schedules
    • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spread sheet applications
    • Experience in managing a mining workshop costs and budgeting
    • A high-level of understanding all relevant legislation relevant to role in the mining industry in WA
