An experienced freight forwarder with an international footprint, our client has strong ties in freight forwarding, 3PL & logistics backed by solid international networks. With growth, our client wants to add quality to the leadership team.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We want to engage an experienced, hands-on Operations Supervisor required to join a well-known and reputable freight forwarder. The position will lead the day-to-day operations for both the Import & Exports teams. Previous experience leading within freight forwarding is imperative.

DUTIES

• Supervise and mentor an operations team of 8

• Work with the management team to create a strong culture of motivated and engaged staff

• Hands-on operational support as required with the team

• Ensure robust compliance and attention to detail for current workloads

• Update and maintain operating procedures and training matrix

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Extensive freight forwarding experience with time in a supervisor imperative

• Previous and demonstrated experience in guiding and mentoring staff

• Strong operational acumen to assist with complex issues as they arise

• Exposure to new business implementation (onboarding & SOP)

• Previous exposure to both Imports and Exports preferred
