    About the roleBased in BrisbanetheVehicle Monitoring Officeris responsible investigating vehicle monitoring incidents and undertaking compliance and enforcement activities to support the delivery of broader compliance and enforcement of the heavy vehicle industry.

    The Vehicle Monitoring Officer ensures that compliance and enforcement actions are applied in accordance with NHVR guidelines.

    Key Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesSome of the key responsibilities of this role are:
    Review and assess non-compliances.
    Review and validate enrolment form details and liaise with Operators.

    Perform educational and compliance interventions via a range of sanction activities including writing non-compliance letters, improvement notices, penalty infringements, court attendance notices and phone calls to OperatorsCollaborating with Service Providers to address operational matters relating to the national telematics systems.

    Liaising with Safety Compliance Officers (SCO) in the field.
    Analysing and determining Operator performance and contributing to Operator risk profiles.
    Contributing and writing procedure and process documentation.
    Answering verbal and written Operator enquiries about telematics programs and with any on-road breaches.
    Collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve the best outcome for road safety and the community.
    About YouAs the ideal candidate, you will have a background in Safety Compliance / compliance enforcement, or fleet management.
    You will have excellent communication skills and have a proactive and solutions focused attitude

    You will have:
    About YouDemonstrated experience in interpreting and applying legislation.
    Ability to undertake investigations and making sound decisions in a regulatory environment.
    Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Good positive energy and able to think out of the box (challenge the status quo) in a team environment.
    Demonstrated proactive approach to drive change.
    Demonstrated high attention to detail.
    Confident with using new software in a constantly changing environment and ability to pick up systems quickly.
    Preference for experience in preparing briefs of evidence.
