    A unique opportunity has become available for a Behaviour Support Practitioner located in Bendigo or surrounds to join our professional and friendly team.

    Thanks to our commitment to service excellence, demand for our services has increased and we have the need to find a new practitioner in the Bendigo area. We will consider an entry level practitioner or someone with a sound knowledge of The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework for reducing the use of restrictive practices, as well as a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based, functional behavioural outcomes.

    As a Bevaiour Support Practitioner you will...

    • Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
    • Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Famework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
    • Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
    • Ensure individual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths
    • Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc

    About you

    • Current suitability with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner OR confident that you will meet all compliance checks to apply for and obtain suitability with the NDIS Commission to legally work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered NDIS provider
    • Demonstrated ability to work positively in a multidisciplinary team
    • Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
    • Confident computer skills
    • Sound writing skills
    • Current Driver Licence and own reliable vehicle
    Qualifications
    • Formal qualifications of relevance to providing supports to people with behaviours of concern AND/OR considerable experience providing support to people with complex behaviours, either professionally and/or personally, is essential
