Our client is seeking an experienced Lawyer looking to make a career move into a senior role to join its team in the North West of Tasmania. The focus of the role will be to lead the criminal law practice within the region, and provide culturally appropriate legal advice and representation to clients in a broad range of matters. About You:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in criminal practice and procedure, with substantial experience in appearance work in the Magistrates Court. Experience in the Supreme Court is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and supervising staff, including junior lawyers.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others and foster a positive team environment.
  • An understanding of the social issues faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to a wide variety of people.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills, demonstrating a history of maintaining positive and effective partnerships. About The Offer:
