- Ensuring pre-start checklist is completed prior to start-up
- Set up and monitoring the operation to ensure the line runs to agreed settings
- Rectifying problems to ensure minimum downtime
- Quality control sampling and/or testing as per quality procedures
- Adjusting the line to maximise efficiency and to ensure production targets are met
- Minimising scrap generation
- Completing jobs on time and to required quality standards
- Complying with all health, safety and quality requirements
- Experience driving a forklift with a current license
- Understanding of safe work practices, manual handling, and workplace procedures
- A talent or knack for all things mechanical
- Ability to use hand tools
- Communication and time management skills
- A strong work ethic with reliability and commitment
- An ability and willingness to work a 7-day roster in a fast-paced environment

About the Role:
We are looking for keen and enthusiastic team member to join our Smithfield operation in permanent full-time positions. You will have some relevant experience but equally important is your willingness to learn new skills and your desire to apply them constructively and safely as a member of a supportive team.
As a member of the production team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the extrusion operation across an alternating roster to support the pipe making extrusion process.
