    The Business
    Genus Fleet Management forms part of the GenusPlus Group, a rapidly growing ASX listed company. The Genus Fleet workshop is based in Kenwick, and is supported by many smaller depots around the state, as well as nationwide.

    The Role

    Genus Fleet Management are seeking 2x qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics to work FIFO from Perth to FMG Solomon mine site on a 3 weeks on, 1 week off roster. We are open to considering other schedules subject to team coverage (i.e. 7/7, 8/6 or 2:1).

    One role will primarily be a breakdown mechanic for our on-site fleet including crane borers, excavators, cherry pickers. The other will be responsible for on-site maintenance, servicing and assisting with breakdowns when required.

    Liaising with the On-site Fleet Manager, day to day duties will include:

    • Provide servicing and maintenance for medium and heavy trucks, EWP trucks, crane/borers for power line construction, earth moving and underground horizontal boring equipment.
    • Integrate new technology to existing structures of all plant and machinery, including component refurbishing.
    • Conduct performance testing on fleet vehicles and reduce equipment downtime with innovative problem solving.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults.

    Essential Skills / Qualifications & Experience

    • Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate
    • Aircon ticket essential (for Breakdown Mechanic)
    • Previous heavy duty diesel fitter/mechanic experience essential
    • Broad experience on Japanese, American and European trucks
    • Valid Australian Drivers License - "HR" Class
    • High regard for safety
    • Previous experience in conducting breakdowns / fault finding
    • Strong ability to adapt to different, environments, and workloads
    • Have sufficient and appropriate tools to perform the role
    • Hydraulics experience highly desirable
    • Experience with directional drilling and excavating equipment highly desirable
    • Elevated Work Platform, Working at Heights and Crane Tickets highly desirable
    • Must have full Australian Working Rights as the position will commence ASAP
