    MRAEL in partnership with JAX Tyres & Auto are looking for an eager Light Vehicle Apprentice in their 1st or 2nd year to join their great team at Ashmore, QLD.

    What's involved?

    Working in the workshop, you will find yourself working under close supervision of qualified mechanics being responsible for tyre maintenance, general mechanical repairs, servicing and routine maintenance. You will work alongside a small support team and report to the Workshop Manager.

    As a 2nd year apprentice you will find yourself completing the following duties:

    • Complete JAX vehicle inspection reports on all customer vehicles ensuring all completed work is noted and recommendations are flagged and communicated to the customer.
    • Conduct a complete range of motor vehicle diagnoses in accordance with industry standards and practices.
    • Utilise your knowledge and skills to acquire vehicle parts and accessories for repairs as required with a commercially minded focus.
    • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery and equipment
    • Complete wheel aligning, fitting and balancing of tyres

    About you:

    You will have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and work collaboratively with others. Our ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Hold a current drivers licence - manual
    • Time management skills
    • Mechanically minded
