    Job Description

    Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant role will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders on achieving financial objectives for the business. This will include working with on-shore and off-shore staff members, and other departments on a daily basis.

    On a day to day, the key responsibilities of the role will include:

    • Accounts receivable, including new customer set up, monitoring of credit terms and debt collection.
    • Review of off-shore payment runs.
    • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, including reconciliation and coding of transactions.
    • Assist in preparation of financial statements.
    • Ensure completion of all end of month procedures, including reporting and reconciliations.
    • Assist with year end financial accounts, audit and tax return for all entities.
    • Provide ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis for Financial Controller and Executive team.
    • Participate in projects as required.

    The Successful Applicant

    The successful candidate will have strong understanding of financial and accounting procedures, with a degree in Accounting or similar viewed favourably. Ideally you will also have 1-2 years of exposure to working as part of a finance team within a commercial business.

    Other key requirements include:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships across the business.
    • Confidence in dealing with multiple stakeholder levels both internally and externally (e.g. chasing up debtors).
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel.
    • Willingness to contribute to a dynamic, fun and cohesive team environment.
    • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Exposure to Dynamics 365 or similar ERP system would be advantageous.
