    What you'll be doing in this role
    We are recruiting for a part-time position (Monday to Thursday with the future potential to go full time) for a Wards Clerk to become part of our friendly Cardiac Catheter Lab team who take pride in providing high-quality care to patients, their families and visitors alike.

    The Cardiac Cath Lab consists of 3 state-of-the-art interventional laboratories, procedural bays and a day stay unit. CCL procedures include angiography, coronary stents, electrophysiological studies and more recently Trans Catheter Aortic Valve Implantation and the Mitral Valve Replacement. Nurses working in this department work closely with cardiologists assisting in procedures both pre and post operatively. CCL is widely recognised as a leader in interventional cardiology giving nursing staff further opportunities to develop their critical care skills.

    As a Wards Clerk you will be responsible for:

    • Providing outstanding customer service to our patients.
    • Preparing admission and discharge paperwork
    • Arrange CathLab patients' treatment appointments and their transport
    • Updating and maintain medical records and assist in auditing records for ongoing compliance as required
    • Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement, contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork and actively participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide our patients with specialised and dedicated care


    Who we are looking for

    • Previous administration clerical experience
    • Strong interest in the healthcare industry
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for patient and family education, as well written communications skills for accurate, and transparent documentation
    • Your friendly & positive way of working with people will be obvious in how you considerately and professionally communicate with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues.
    • You'll be collaborative, adaptable, and be able to work independently and in a team
    • You'll be empathetic, systematic, detail-oriented, have great time management and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare's everyday values of excellence and integrity
