    About the Role
    Based at Curtis Island, the position of Operations Specialist will leverage extensive expertise in process control and safety systems within LNG facilities, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the LNG facility.

    The Operations Specialist will continuously optimise LNG and Utilities processes within safe operating parameters to achieve and surpass production targets, contributing to the seamless functioning and profitability of the organisation.

    Please note, there is a shift roster associated with this role.

    Key accountabilities include:

    • Responsible for the safe operation, shutdown and isolation requirements in area of responsibility for all process and plant prior to, during and post project or maintenance activity, including safely responding to emergency situations.
    • Enhance LNG production equipment and unit reliability by adopting sound operating practices, fault diagnosis and prompt identification of pending issues. Generate maintenance service requests to manage all issues.
    • Contribute to the development of operational procedures, training materials, and documentation. Implement corrective actions to enhance plant performance, minimise disruptions, and improve reliability.
    • Facilitate seamless interactions among team members, fostering an environment of mutual understanding and cooperation.
    • Ensure strict adherence to environmental policies, codes, and guidelines. Champion safe work practices in accordance with the Santos Management System and Safe Operating Procedures.
    • Respond safely and effectively to emergency situations to make the area/plant safe.

    About You
    We are looking for an experienced Operations Specialist with significant experience in LNG operations. As a motivated self-starter, you will be confident working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team. Your keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and drive to pursue exceptional results is highly anticipated.

    Ideally you will have a trade background in Mechanical or Electrical Instrumentation (or similar) and Cert III or IV in Process Plant Technology with Panel experience.
