Accounts Payable Officer (Temporary Contract)

Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements

Contract Length: Temporary, ASAP Start, 2-month contract with potential extension

Location: Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne

Salary: $36 per hour + super

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Officer to join our client's dynamic team on a temporary basis.

Our client, a prominent local council, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and post batches of creditors invoices and credit notes to the general ledger.
• Reconcile creditor ledger balances with statements and initiate adjustments as required.
• Generate BPAY and electronic funds transfers for creditor invoice payments.
• Process, reconcile, and update the general ledger with receipting data from various service areas.
• Undertake additional duties and special tasks relevant to the Financial Accounting team as required.
  
  

• Previous experience in Government, Healthcare, Education, NFP, or Public Sector in a similar role.
• Extensive Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume setting.
