    Your new role:

    Reporting to the Management Accountant, your main purpose will be the processing of rebate and deal claims and payments, claim verification, journal entries and deal approvals. You will be responsible for the following but not be limited to:

    •Complete weekly journal entries into ERP system

    •Oversee and verify claims processing for rebates and deals across all divisions

    •Enter payment data for cheque payments into the AP system

    •Upload approved rebate data and generate credit notes

    •Prepare ad hoc reports and reconciliation of data and transactions as required

    •Work closely with the Credit team to facilitate claims processing

    •Maintain the documentation in the required format

    •Assist the team to update data for trade spend files

    •Manage the entry of accruals through to final costs of all requests from the sales team for O&A spend in accordance with delegated authorities

    •Track actual claims from customer and reconcile to trade spend master files and accruals.

    •Maintain supporting work papers and information to show how reconciliations and calculations are performed

    •Create an accurate and efficient process to calculate monthly, quarterly, annual trade spend and reports required for customers

    •Follow processes to enable the completion of customer claims and log issues for follow up until resolved

    About you

    The perfect candidate will be immediately available or will be able to start within a short time frame and will have experience in the following areas:

    •Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Finance team;

    •Preferred experiences with claims, rebates or working in the Credit team

    •FMCG / Manufacturing industry experience within a large organisation is highly desirable

    •Solid intermediate to advanced excel skills and experience with big data is preferable

    •Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills

    •Tenacity for identifying issues and communicating with the team;

    •Demonstrate curiosity to develop an understanding of the why behind what is being processed

    •Self-motivated with a positive demeanour

    •Experience with large ERP systems & BI tools is highly desirable
