    We are looking for an Account Coordinator to join our talented and diverse team. This is an entry level role for someone who is passionate about growing a career in a large communications agency environment. You will be responsible for tactical account work however, will also interact directly with clients and media - so an interest in building relationships and learning client service (think customer service) skills is important.

    You will work across a range of consumer and corporate clients and will be an integral support team member on large-scale projects and accounts. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has an interest in or is keen to try their hand at a mix of technology, FMCG and financial services brands.

    This is a great starting point for someone early in their career to learn a range of skills and experience in different sectors within a supportive environment.

    You'll be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the strategic planning process and executing key PR tactics. This includes media monitoring and reporting, creating media and influencer lists, managing product review programs, helping pitch news to journalists, and managing administrative elements of the account like Work In Progress document updates, and WIP summaries.
  • Thinking creatively about story ideas to take to journalists on behalf of our clients, and to keep the finger on the pulse in what's making news (for businesses and consumers), as well as what's influencing culture.
  • Providing public relations support for account services team, including writing, research, media and influencer relations, stakeholder relations and event support.
  • Maintaining media databases, developing and tracking editorial / content calendars and monitoring client channels effectively.
  • Portraying a voracious appetite for culture and the ability to begin building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The person we're looking for has/is:

  • About 1 year of experience / interning in an agency or other communications focused organisation (ideally).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, understands the importance of deadlines, prioritising tasks and juggling competing priorities, as well as a strong focus on attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate how they relate to our four key values: Stay Curious, Show up Fearless, Go Home Proud, Be Kind.
  • Ability to build great relationships quickly.
  • Ability to read business materials and distil key details.
  • Potentially degree qualified, or some tertiary study in fields such as communications, marketing, psychology, arts, anthropology, or business.
  • Curiosity and a passion for brilliant, innovative and creative communications.
  • Accountable, proactive and diligent.
  • Open to receiving feedback (or proactively seek it out) and can act on it to quickly improve their skills/knowledge.
  • The ability to thrive in a swift-moving, creative and entrepreneurial environment.
