    Due to expanding scope and new work fronts we are actively seeking experienced Underground HD Fitters to join us in our Canadian International Operations.

    The emphasis of the role is ensuring that the local workers are developing their skills and knowledge by way of sharing your experience and being a role model.

    You will require boundless energy, resilience, determination and a genuine interest in working with people from different cultures.


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    Carry out scheduled servicing to mobile equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with procedures, regulations and the relevant service sheets.

    Mentoring, Coaching and Developing National trades personnel

    Utilise skill and experience to create minimum downtime on machinery.

    Ensure correct recording and reporting of maintenance is achieved.

    Maintain a high level of housekeeping in workshop and working areas at all times

    Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals.

    Report all equipment faults to the Maintenance Foreman for scheduling into the workshop weekly planning

    Essential Requirements


    A demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind for all employees at all times.

    Experienced in training less qualified tradespeople to a high standard in a high productivity underground contracting mining environment.

    Strong background working with latest generation SANDVIK, CAT and Atlas underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.

    At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.

    High degree of knowledge and skill in troubleshooting problems on electric hydraulic drilling equipment.

    Good knowledge of loader and truck maintenance.

    Competent on Auto Electrics, Hydraulic Circuit Schematics and Diesel engine maintenance.

    Self-starter who will work with minimal supervision.

    Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.

    International Drivers License.
