    We are in search of experienced Registered Nurses to fill the After Hours Hospital Coordinator position at Hobart Private Hospital. This role is crucial in the after-hours management of the hospital.

    Hobart Private Hospital, with 146 beds, is an accredited facility situated alongside the Royal Hobart Hospital in the city center. Services offered include Emergency, Angiography, Cardiac, Maternity, Medical, Surgical, Day Surgery, and Endoscopy.

    Responsibilities as an After Hours Hospital Coordinator:

    • Supervise safe, high-quality care that aligns with best practices
    • Support and communicate with Clinical Nurses in various wards and departments
    • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and cost efficiency
    • Manage patient flow, coordinate operational processes, and work within budget guidelines
    • Oversee patient admissions
    • Promote quality improvement and adherence to Healthcare Standards for safety and quality
    • Ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors

    Essential Criteria:

    • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration and a minimum of five years of experience
    • Demonstrated expertise in staff coordination and allocation
    • Ability to multitask and allocate resources effectively
    • Proficient in MS Office and computer operations
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, along with proven management and leadership abilities

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Pursuing or completed postgraduate management qualification
    • Prior management experience as Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator
