    We have an opportunity at this multi-franshise dealership for a proactive, hands on, highly organised and experienced Automotive Workshop Controller to lead a team of Technicians and apprentices.

    We are looking for someone who will take responsibility for delivering quality workmanship for the servicing of vehicles within a timely manner. You will also deliver the highest level of customer service to the groups valued clients while ensuring productivity and efficiency are maintained. The focus will be on the workflow and processes within the workshop.

    The successful applicant will liaise with the Service front-line staff while Managing the Technical team. They will assist the Service Manager in the day to day operations of the workshop.

    To be considered for this role, you must be able to display:

    • Experienced in this position as an Automotive Workshop Controller or Foreman.
    • Strong ability to produce a high standard of work within a fast-paced environment
    • Positive calm demeanour, punctual with a strong work ethic
    • Be responsible for providing a high level of support to the Service team. This will be achieved by monitoring and scheduling service and repair times.
    • Experience in workshop loading, working on productivity and efficiency with technicians
    • Strong leadership qualities to a team of long-term technicians
    • Be responsible for developing the technical team to ensure a high degree of quality is achieved with a focus on Customer Satisfaction.
    • Ability to follow set processes to complete work under warranty

    You must have:

    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
    • Must be a Qualified Technician
    • Assist Service Manager with reviewing processes to improve quality of workmanship
    • Support a high-performance culture and assist with team development
    • Advanced diagnostics
    • Ensuring repair order goes to the appropriate technician who is best suited
    • Ability to always consider what the best solution for the customer experience
    • Take direction from the Fixed Operations Manager and work in a team environment
    • Ensuring the smooth operation of the service workshop on a daily basis
    • Commitment to customer satisfaction
    • Organised with great time management skills
    • Monitoring Technician Quality Control
    • Unrestricted current driver's licence is essential as road testing completed service vehicle's forms part of this role
    • Good computer skills
