    Casual position Band 4 Salary from $ per hour, plus super, plus casual loading

    Gymnastics Supervisors are employed on a casual basis and typical shift lengths are 2.5 or 3.5 hours in duration (3:30pm till 6pm or 7pm) with a supervisor being required on the floor in the Gymnastics hall during all after school program classes (weekdays and Saturday).

    You will have exceptional customer service skills and a strong desire to exceed member expectations, with the ability to work autonomously on the gym floor, as well as part of a team to ensure an efficient flow through the gymnastics hall each night

    The Supervisor is essential to the smooth and safe operation of the program through to liase with parents, ensure safety of all Gymnasts (up to 60 an hour) through safety checks, incident reporting and monitoring of coaches, assessing students and maintaining a high quality program.

    The Gymnastics supervisor requires specific training and needs to have experience with the program and the day-to-day operations (internally advertised); desirably they hold the qualifications to be able to take over the coaching of any classes running in the Gymnastics Hall (if the situation dictates).

    Gymnastics Supervisors require the following qualifications:

    • Intermediate Coaching Qualification (minimum)
    • Module 1 coaching qualification
    • First aid and CPR
    • GV Supervisors certificate
    • Demonstrated experience to work as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated experience instructing a class of participants.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills in particular interactions with children.
    • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.

    Gymnastics Supervisors must work one shift per week as a Gymnastics Coach; in order to ensure they are familiar with classes, the program and day to day problems.
