    Job Description

    We currently have an exciting role available for Principal Water Engineer in our Newcastle office.

    This role presents an opportunity to help achieve transformational outcomes for our clients, working with global experts to address the complex infrastructure challenges of a transitioning economy and growing region.

    In joining our dynamic team, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of our growing portfolio of water projects throughout Australia and provide our clients with brilliant and innovative solutions.

    You will be a key team member, working with other highly skilled engineers, helping us to deliver a better worldfor our clients and the communities in which we operate.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Providing technical leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams in delivering planning and feasibility investigations, concept designs, detailed designs, and construction support for water infrastructure, including drainage, pipelines, pumping stations, storages, and treatment projects.
    • Proactively delivering high-quality and timely technical outputs that meet client expectations.
    • Contributing to our high-performing, engaged and supportive team culture.
    • Mentoring and supporting colleagues to foster learning and knowledge sharing within the team.

    Qualifications

    You are a passionate, professional engineer with proven excellence in client service delivery. This determination will be evident through your approach to understanding the needs and drivers of our clients and delivering the right solution on time, every time.

    You should have:

    • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution – across drainage, water, recycled water, sewerage
    • Project management experience and a commitment to exceptional client service
    • Knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices
    • Working knowledge of related disciplines including mechanical, structural, and geotechnical engineering
    • High level of interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    • An ability to travel as required for project and business development activities
    • Bachelor of civil engineering
