    About The Role
    Join Whitehaven Coal's dynamic Marketing and Logistics team in Newcastle as a Scheduling & Coal Quality Officer.

    Reporting to the Coal Quality Manager, this role plays a crucial part in supporting the Logistics team ensuring that customer shipments are scheduled efficiently and delivered to contracted coal quality specifications.

    The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to coordinate logistics, resolve issues and maintain accurate records to support the smooth operation of the coal supply chain.

    What You'll Do
    Responsible for the coordination and accurate upkeep of the shipping schedule.
    Liaise with mine site personnel, customers and third-party providers regarding coal availability, shipment timing, and laycan / vessel nominations.
    Attend meetings, prepare relevant information, and effectively present findings.
    Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Logistics team, ensuring clear communication and effective teamwork to achieve common goals.
    Assist with quality management by monitoring and resolving coal quality issues as well as vessel certification to ensure that contract specifications are delivered to our customers
    What You'll Bring
    Experience within the coal industry or related sectors.
    Excellent problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and business drivers.
    The ability to build and maintain strong and trusted relationships internally and externally.
    An understanding of business operations and the ability to make sound business decisions.
    Excellent attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills.
    Strong PC skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
    Experience in Power BI is highly desirable.
