    Job Description

    This integral role is responsible for partnering with and providing expert financial sustainability and organisational performance advice and support to the University's senior-most decision makers.

    In this role you will;

    • Cultivate professional advisory relationships with University executives, and managers, providing trustworthy and impactful financial guidance.
    • Provide authoritative advice on complex finance and accounting issues and requirements.
    • Develop and execute integrated finance strategies and plans for Griffith University, aiming for continuous improvement.
    • Identify opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance financial performance and efficiency.
    • Develop Griffith University's finance capability through leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Implement finance governance processes and ensure alignment with legislation, policies, and values to maintain efficient work practices.
    • Manage financial risks and lead audit activities to maintain adherence to compliance and quality requirements.

    Qualifications
    To be successful, you will possess:

    • Degree qualified with substantial work-related experience. You will also hold a professional accounting qualification through an accredited body (CPA/CA).
    • Specialist expertise and experience in resource and financial management and in the development of strategic, business and operational plans relevant to the organisation's objectives, activities and functions.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, including high level modelling and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesise financial and non-financial information and develop decision support models.
    • Capability, knowledge and experience with corporate financial, human resource, reporting and administrative information systems, particularly complex ERP and BI systems.

    This is a continuing, full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan or Gold Coast campuses. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

    Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

    Salary range
    The base salary will be HEW Level 10 $136,032 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be $159,158 per annum.
