    Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)

    IWC is currently seeking a dedicated Local Area Coordinator (LAC) to provide crucial support to participants navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

    ABOUT IWC:

    IWC is a respected Aboriginal community-controlled health organization dedicated to serving both Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett region.

    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    An exciting opportunity awaits for a Local Area Coordinator to join the dynamic team at IWC.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Guide and assist individuals transitioning to the NDIS.
    • Help individuals, families, and carers access NDIS information.
    • Support individuals in identifying goals and needs.
    • Assist in building personal and community networks.
    • Promote independence and empowerment among participants.

    SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

    • Qualifications or experience in disability (preferred).
    • Strong computer skills and effective communication abilities.
    • Demonstrated target achievement.
    • Person-centered service approach.
    • Excellent listening and influencing skills.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • NDIS Workers Screening Check and Clearance.
    • Current driver's license.
    • First Aid Certificate.
    • Federal Police Check.
    • Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD) - costs covered by IWC.

    SALARY PACKAGE:

    Salary Package includes:

    • Salary Sacrifice Packaging up to $15,990 per annum.
    • Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum.
    • 9-day fortnight schedule for full-time employees.
    • Superannuation at 11%.
    • Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%.
