- Provision of legal advice in relation to development and administration of Insurance products (Inc. policy wording and PDS reviews, product development advice, statutory notices and disclosure)
- Legal advice in respect of the distribution of Insurance products and partnering arrangements (Inc. broker and intermediary arrangements, and strategic partnerships)
- Act as point of technical escalation for matters in your functional areas
- Identify matters which have the potential to impact the Group's interests and provide expert legal advice to protect these interests
- Provide legal advice in respect of regulatory matters involving ASIC, APRA and the ACCC
- Support business' compliance with financial services legislation, privacy legislation and legislation regulating the issue and distribution of financial products
- Extensive experience drafting or litigating a range of commercial insurance policies including Profin, property and engineering lines - Mandatory
- Tertiary qualifications in Law – Mandatory
- Current Practising Certificate – Mandatory
- Admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court – Mandatory
- Relevant experience in legal advisory work in relation to insurance, distribution and financial services
- Experience in financial services, ideally insurance and/or distribution and advice
- Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge of relevant area of law and practice experience
- Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner and to escalate as appropriate
- Highly developed critical thinking skills, and the ability to complete work in a resourceful, agile and commercial way
- Demonstrated Lawyer capability aligned to internal Suncorp Legal Capability Framework
