    Based out of Brisbane, they provide essential tenancy information, support, bond management, dispute resolution, education services, and compliance & enforcement to the Queensland community.

    Job Description Job responsibilities The Chief Regulatory and Assurance Officer role at the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) is a key position within the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) focused on developing, managing and executing the strategies that will sustainably deliver the RTA's corporate and regulatory objectives.

    Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Regulatory and Assurance Officer directs the Financial & Assurance Services Division to promote and deliver sustainable business, assurance and contemporary regulatory practices and ensures a strong and effective risk management culture across the organisation.

    The role has significant scope, including oversight and responsibility for the RTA's regulatory and corporate assurance functions, including compliance and enforcement, governance, risk, corporate compliance legal, government relations, finance as well as board secretariat and strategic and operational planning functions.

    This role will advise and assist the organisation in the successful performance and delivery of its corporate, regulatory and strategic objectives and seek to deliver for both internal and external stakeholders.

    As such, this role presents an exciting opportunity for a proven leader in these areas to play a central role in the RTA's ongoing ability to deliver within an evolving regulatory and political landscape.
