    About the Role

    As an Excavator Operator in our Production Mining Team, you will thrive on the variety of work available. You are a passionate and energetic person who appreciates responsibility, recognition, and reward.

    • Operate machinery efficiently and safely as a skilled production operator.
    • Comply with company policies and procedures.
    • Respond to instructions from your Mining Supervisor.
    • Excavate to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms, and pit walls.
    • Maintain floor levels and minimize dilution to achieve design parameters within acceptable tolerances.
    • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards.
    • Conduct pre-start checks.

    About You

    • A minimum of 5 years of mining experience as a production excavator operator is required.
    • You must have equivalent or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 equipment.
    • Experience in loading dump trucks in a mining production environment is essential.
    • You should possess sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration.
    • You should be able to mine out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal material for final trim to design batter angle.
    • Proven commitment to health and safety at all times is necessary.
