As a Regional Director, you play a vital role in advancing the strategic planning, execution, and supervision of workplace health and safety programs in Queensland.
The Regional Director drives better safety practices within the community and ensures compliance with regulations overseen by the Office of Industrial Relations.
Job Details
As a Regional Director, you will lead multiple teams of WHS inspectors within the WHS Compliance and Field Services division to achieve favorable workplace health and safety regulatory outcomes supporting safe work environments across various industries.
This senior management position involves managing regional resources to deliver desired results while upholding corporate governance principles and the responsibilities of the Queensland Public Service.
The role also involves supporting the Executive Director of WHS Compliance and Field Services, engaging with the community and stakeholders, and participating in initiatives by the Office of Industrial Relations.
The Regional Director position can be based in any regional office within the MSCWB region.
About the Team
You will lead teams of WHS Inspectors in the Region who act as the WHS Regulator, collaborating with industry, stakeholders, and the community to enhance work health and safety outcomes in Queensland.
WHS Inspectors work closely with industry and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and help foster positive safety cultures. This includes investigating workplace incidents and enforcing regulations when necessary.
Your teams work with businesses to enhance health and safety in workplaces and play a crucial role in assisting duty holders in meeting the relevant requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and other associated legislation.
