- Indicative Total Remuneration: $364,134 - $617,205 (pro rata, Subject to Private Practice Arrangements) MDO2 | 2 Full Time, 12 months positions available
- providing appropriate specialist level care to patients
- coordinating the follow up care of patients
- providing clinical supervision to Senior Medical Practitioners, Trainee Medical Officers and Medical Students
- contributing to an after-hours on-call service in accordance with a roster agreed by the Department Director
- overseeing the smooth functioning of the clinical area when on shift
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
- Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
- Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in an Emergency Department

The Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) Emergency Department (ED) is one of South Australia's largest and busiest tertiary ED's in the state. Offering 24/7 care for a variety of presentations including major multi-trauma and life-threatening medical emergencies, FMC ED is also the obstetric trauma centre for South Australia and a designated state trauma centre.
