    Our Central Federal Government department is looking to engage several Business Analysts with a demonstrated history and expertise in identifying business needs and requirements and converting them into effective solutions within government or large-scale organisations.

    In 2023, the Federal Government announced a new approach for the APS to access competitive ERP solutions now and into the future. This new approach replaces an existing program and sets the strategic direction for how the APS will manage its ERP corporate systems, underpinned by the principles of choice, market competition, and affordability.

    To facilitate this initiative, the PMO is seeking Business Analysts who have a proven track record and experience in identifying business needs and requirements and translating them into effective solutions within government or large-scale organisations.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Defining the standards and guidelines for business situation analysis to outline how the PMO will assist smaller entities in planning their ERP uplift implementation.
    • Conducting desktop analysis of existing information on smaller entities' current ERP solutions.
    • Identifying the smaller entities that require an ERP uplift and are seeking PMO support.
    • Collaborating with each smaller entity to analyse:
    • The current state of their ERP solution.
    • The functional corporate service business needs.
    • Key operational risks associated with the current ERP solution.
    • Current operating costs, budgets, and related planned investments.
    • Documenting each smaller entity's challenges and analysing the root causes.
    • Documenting the business and technical requirements for the ERP uplift solution.
    • Identifying solution options to address identified problems or to leverage opportunities.
    • Possess highly developed critical and analytical thinking skills.
    • Demonstrates leadership in collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, navigating through competing objectives within the organisation.
    • Capable of performing highly complex work activities that encompass technical, financial, and quality aspects.
    • Skilled in communicating authoritatively at all organisational levels, addressing both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
    • Proven track record of working towards and achieving strict project deadlines.
    • Demonstrated expertise in conducting economic, technical, and financial feasibility assessments.
    • Experience in resolving complex ERP solution issues.
    • Familiarity with, and knowledge of, ERP suppliers, partners, and competitors.
    • Comprehensive experience and understanding of corporate services operating systems.
