The Pro Vice-Chancellor Engagement and Communications reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and plays a pivotal role as a member of the senior executive team leading a national university.

Itoverseesa broad portfoliowhich includesgovernment relations, communications, media, events and alumni, and philanthropy.

A major focus will be todevelopand deepen relationships with government and in other complex organisational and political settings through thecreationof innovative engagement strategies.

Exceptional relationship building and networking skills are therefore essential.

This is an influential role that calls for an experienced and confident executive with a track record of leading high performing teams.

The successful candidate will require seniorleadershipexperience across the key functions of the portfolio,andtheabilitytoworkacross the entire institutionona range of initiativesthat impactNotre Dame'sdirection and success.

A strategic capacity,decisive approachand sound judgement should be supported by high level advocacy and verbal communication skills.
