Our City Works team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to fill the position of Drainer, on a permanent basis. The role involves undertaking drainage work activities and supporting the drainage team in completing drainage works in a safe and efficient manner to agreed quality standards.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in trenching, pipe laying, basic leveling & pegging, backfilling and compaction operations.
• Previous experience in a roadwork and drainage (construction and maintenance) environment.
• Practical experience with plant and tools, including Excavator Certificate, Quick Cut Saw ticket and Dogman's ticket.
• Current unrestricted "HR" (Heavy Rigid) class national drivers' licence.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

In addition to the above, the following will be highly regarded:

• Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management (desirable)
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Completion of Year 10 Certificate (desirable)
• Loader, Watercart & Roller experience, Accreditation (desirable)

The finer details

This fulltime Level 3 position attracts a salary range of $66,965 - $69,456 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
