    The Role

    This is a permanent part-time role, Monday to Friday, 34 hours per week.

    The primary purpose of the role is to implement the corporate the WHS program for our Cooranbong and Morisset sites. This is a hands-on operational support role on a range of Safety matters and coordinates the Recover At Worker (RAW) program for our sites. The role supports the site Leadership teams and would also coordinate and implement several support initiatives for the sites. The key responsibilities include:

    • Lead the Safety function at the SDI and Futures sites, providing hands on end-to-end operational safety support to the team.
    • Coordinate the WHS program for the SDI and Futures sites including systems, controls, site audit rosters, procedures, and documentation.
    • Ensure compliance against WHS legislative requirements and implement best practice.
    • Implementation of the Corporate WHS program including policies, procedures, systems, and controls.
    • Coordinate the WHS Committee for the SDI and Futures sites.
    • Respond to safety incidents on either site.
    • Investigate the root causes of all serious injuries / near misses to determine appropriate corrective actions and report findings.
    • Manage the Recover-at-Work program. Maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders through the process.
    • Participate in site safety related audits.
    • Prepare and present Safety training, inductions, site safety notifications and tool tox talks as required to build greater Safety awareness on site.
    • Produce WHS reports as required, including compiling performance metrics and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with chain of responsibility standards.
    • Coordinate continuous WHS improvement activities for site.
    • Management of site security access cards, contractor management
    • Facilitate the process to keep safe work instructions current and training records.

    Skills & Experience

    • Cert IV in WHS.
    • Recover at Work qualification.
    • 3-5 Years experience in a WHS role.
    • Hands on operational experience in an R&D or manufacturing environment or similar.
    • Experience driving process improvement initiatives is highly regarded.
