Covering a population of around 250,000, LGH serves as a hub for tertiary specialist medical services, attracting a diverse range of medical imaging cases and presentations.

The role:
As a Specialist Radiographer, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures in both Interventional and Cardiac Angiography, along with handling associated administrative tasks. The facility hosts an emerging Interventional Radiology service and leads a Cardiac unit responsible for the northern part of the state. This full-time role involves day shifts with on-call responsibilities.
The Interventional Lab, established in 1996, has a notable history in endovascular procedures, including performing the first four fenestrated EVAR in Australia. Additionally, the Cath Labs at LGH, one of the busiest in regional Australia, carry out a substantial number of exams annually, including 600 PCI's.
Details of Appointment
This position is a permanent, full-time day role (with on-call duties) requiring 76 hours per fortnight. The role starts as soon as you're ready to join the team, with negotiable working hours for the successful candidate.
Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 per annum, with an additional 11% superannuation contribution by the employer.
Benefits include access to a salary packaging program with living expenses coverage up to $9,010, meal entertainment allowances of $2,650 per FBT year, and other eligible perks.
Successful candidates must meet the essential criterion of being registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Required registrations and licenses must remain current throughout the employment period and are subject to periodic validation.
Desired criteria include prior experience in Interventional Radiology Suites and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories.
Prior to commencement, the nominated candidate will undergo a pre-employment check as per the directive of the Head of the State Service. The check includes looking into various areas of the candidate's background, like disciplinary records, convictions, and previous employments.
