    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    We are seeking an enthusiastic senior perinatal psychologist to join the O'Connell Family Centre team to support the mental health of families attending our service. The psychologist will provide psychology assessments and brief interventions for referred families attending O'Connell Family Centre residential program.

  • Grade 3 Clinical Psychologist position based in Canterbury
  • 40 hours per fortnight, fixed term part-time- 12 months
  • Liaise with O'Connell Family Centre Psychiatrist and nursing staff
  • Promote excellence in clinical practice and family-centred care
  • Provide monthly clinical supervision for staff
  • Provide supervision to registrars or students
  • ABOUT YOU:

  • Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or working towards endorsement
  • A minimum of five years professional experience as a fully registered Psychologist
  • Ability to engage with complex families with young children years) who present with a range of biopsychosocial issues
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other members of the O'Connell Family Centre team
  • As a senior Clinical Psychologist, assess psychological needs of families attending O'Connell Family Centre, provide brief interventions, liaise with referral sources and clients to ensure appropriate ongoing care as required

The residential, day and community programs provide child-focused parenting skills to promote safe child development. Services include residential, day stay, educational and group programs for families with children aged 0-4 years.
