    What you will be doing

    We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified individual to join our team as the Patient Services Assistant and a Patient Services Assistant (PSA) Supervisor.

    This is a permanent part time position 40hours per fortnight Night Shift.


    As a Supervisor within the Support Services Team, you will not only be responsible for supervising the work of others, but you will also provide coaching and leadership to Patient Services Assistants (PSA) on a day-to-day basis.


    Additionally, you will serve as an integral link between the Nurse Unit Managers (NUM) and the Non-Clinical Ward Support Manager as you assist in resolving issues and finding solutions to problems.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Provide effective Supervision of PSA staff on a daily basis.
    • Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles.
    • Organise workflows and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
    • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
    • Receive complaints and resolve problems
    • Ensure a high level of customer service at all times
    • Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment under the Cleaning Standards for Victorian Health Facilities 2011
    • Undertake cleaning audits in accordance with the requirements of the Cleaning Audit Schedule

    What You Need


    • Previous Hospital or healthcare experience
    • Hold a Certificate III in Health Support Services or Health Services Assistance
    • An Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles
    • A high level of customer service
    • Working knowledge of MS Office suite
    • Excellent organisational & communication skills
    • Ability to set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision
